The Old Boys Network (OBN) described itself as "the first international cyberfeminist alliance". Founded in 1997 as part of documenta X's Hybrid Workspace, the network was active until 2001. OBN's concern was to "provide a context for various artistic, theoretical and political formulations related to cyberfeminism. At times enigmatic, at times transparent, OBN sets an agenda for communication, intervention and production" (www.obn.org).

obnarchive is part of the project Art Research Practice documenta. Artistic and Curatorial Research at the documenta Institute of the Kunsthochschule Kassel, which is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Science and the Arts from 2020 until the end of 2022.
